HLD Medical Industries Sdn Bhd., was founded in 1999 by Professor Dr. Liew Hui Chin (TCM). The main aim of the company was to develop a series Herbal Preparations for various health applications using principally Medicinal Fungus in combination with selected TCM herbs.

Towards achieving this objective, HLD had entered into cooperation with the Institute of Plant Protection of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Pharmaceutical Mushroom Development and Research Base of the United Nations Asia-Pacific Edible Mushroom Training Center, the Department of Biology University Malaya, in addition with the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia.
